Pumpkin Angel Food Cake
Pumpkin Angel Food Cake is the easiest cake to make and it is one of my favorites! It is also low fat and is only 3 Weight Watchers points! I found this recipe and thought I would try it out since Angel Food Cake is one of my favorite treats to have along with my favorite pumpkin. All you need to make this is one 15 oz can of pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice and one box of angel food cake mix.
With only three ingredients you will love how easy this Thanksgiving Dessert is to prepare. Preheat the oven to 350. Whisk together the cake mix and pumpkin pie spice in a large bowl. Add pumpkin and mix well. Pour into an ungreased 13X9 pan. Bake for 28-30 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Serve with whipped topping and enjoy!
When you mix the pumpkin and angel food mix it will expand a little so make sure you use a very large bowl. Also you want to mix by hand until it is thoroughly mixed well. I love it with Homemade Whipped Cream with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top.
You could also serve it with fat free cool whip for a low fat treat. Another idea for portion control is to make into into 36 cupcakes. If you are not concerned with calories my husband topped his Pumpkin Angel Food Cake with some Homemade Whipped Cream Cheese Icing.
We hope you enjoy this easy recipe for Thanksgiving dinner. It is something that is a nice alternative to pie. It is also nice if you are on weight watchers because you can enjoy this dessert with the family during the holidays and not feel guilty.
