Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

Have you heard of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World?? I had heard of it and always wanted to attend, but it never worked out until last week. We made this a girl’s trip!  The three of us were so excited to head to this Magical Party!  It was so much fun, and I cannot wait to tell you all about it! This is a special event you do not want to miss!

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party:

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is something extra you have to pay for. It is not included with your Magic Your Way package or the purchase of a park ticket. However, when you buy the event ticket, you get park admittance into Magic Kingdom at four o’clock in the afternoon and can stay until midnight. Other guests that are in the park on the day of the party, but did not purchase a party ticket, will have to leave the park by 7 pm. It is a great way to enjoy the park with less crowds and enjoy more rides and all the special things they have going on.

The tickets prices range based on the dates you select. The closer to Halloween you get the more the ticket will cost. So, keep that in mind when you are planning your trip. I was able to snag a lower price ticket by going to the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party on September 11th.

Halloween Fun Around the Park

One of the best perks of the Halloween party, for kids especially, is the amount of candy you can get by trick or treating!  You are allowed to keep going through the same lines to get more candy and adults are allowed to trick or treat too! We noticed at the end of the night the CMs were just throwing handfuls in our bag.  We chose not to dress up, but we did wear Halloween themed shirts! You wouldn’t believe the thought put into a lot of people’s costumes! They were amazing! Be sure to check the rules on guidelines on dressing up, as they change each year on the Walt Disney World app or online.

We rode everything we wanted and some twice.  Be on the lookout for Halloween Overlays!

Halloween Characters

There are so many special characters out during the party you would not normally see. Some of the popular ones were Jack and Sally, Stitch, The Seven Dwarfs, Winnie the Pooh and friends all dressed in costume. The lines for these do get pretty long.  We decided not to wait in long lines for characters but saw a lot of them from afar!  What I loved was the magic shots (photos) we could get, only at the party. There were many but they also had long lines. To make the most of your time you have to prioritize the things that are important to you! Be sure to check out all the entertainment they have to offer during the party.

Halloween Shows

Hocus Pocus Halloween Spellitacular – Spending the evening with the Sanderson Sisters was right up our alley!  It was a brilliant show with lots of surprises.

Disney’s Not To Spooky Spectacular – This was an amazing firework show! The projections on the castle were exciting and made the whole night!

Disney’s Boo To You Parade – I will be honest I was most interested in seeing the Headless Horseman and Max Powerline! I had a blast dancing in the street with Max! Max Powerline was the hit of the night! Also, pay attention to the grave diggers! Talking about fun to watch! The whole night was magical.

Halloween Treats

Spellbinding Fried Pie – Favorite – Buffalo chicken, Mozzarella, Blue Cheese fried in dough topped with candy eye and Jalapeno Ranch Aioli.  It they weren’t 10 bucks I would have eaten two! I am going to figure this one out at home!

Almond Sweet Corn Cake – It was good, but it was very sweet.  This is a one and done for us!

Worm’s & Dirt Funnel Cake – I saw many people with them and I wish I would have ordered one.  The other treats filled me up.  What can go wrong with gummy worms, cookie crumbs, funnel cake, and chocolate ice cream?

After thoughts

We all agree we would do this again!  The most important thing is making a plan of whats important.  If you do that you will do all you want.  The hours go by fast! We didn’t do a park before because we wanted to enjoy the whole evening! We are hoping to visit again in upcoming years!
