Another stop on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail is the Heaven Hill Distillery Tour. You must visit the Bernheim Distillery, the largest independent, family-owned Bourbon Distillery in the world.

Nestled in the heart of Historic Bardstown, the Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience provides visitors a one-of-a-kind immersive American Whiskey experience. We gave this experience a 10/10!
We chose the You Do Bourbon Experience. This was really cool and one of our favorite experiences on the trail. We were celebrating our 50th birthday for this trip and this was the only distillery that made a big deal of that! They gave us a sticker to wear when we arrived and then we got to select a bonus bourbon for the group to have a special tasting during our experience.
During this one-of-a-kind experience, you can taste different products specific to You Do Bourbon, choose your favorite, and then if you decide to purchase at an additional cost, you’ll bottle and personalize it yourself. You’ll also be able to explore the hands-on lab. The tasting includes a showing in the 1935 Distillery Theater and access to the self-guided exhibits.
We highly recommend this experience and visiting the Heaven Hill Distillery. After we bottled our bourbon, we visited the gift shop. Then it was onto our Bourbon Barrel Retreats to check in.
