Bourbon Barrel Retreats

If you are looking for the best place to stay on the Bourbon Trail, look no further than Bourbon Barrel Retreats. We just stayed there, and it was absolutely a bucket list destination!

Bourbon Barrel Retreats:

We have been working our way through the Kentucky Bourbon Trail and when I found this unique opportunity to actually stay in a Bourbon Barrel, I knew we HAD to do it!

This one-of-a-kind stay has everything you need. A comfy king bed, small bathroom, kitchenette, and heat/air. You can add a hot tub onto your stay too! Our premium barrel included a gas grill (in addition to a hot tub) at our place too which came in handy for dinner. Check out this reel on Instagram for video.

Now, let me start by saying we are not “campers”. This is not a rustic experience or even a glamping experience. It is truly an upscale cabin experience. We were surrounded by wildlife (we did hear squirrels running on our barrel) but by no means did we feel like we were camping or roughing it. We felt that this was a unique experience and bucket list destination!

The retreat is truly a time to kick back and unwind. You won’t find a TV or the best phone service, but you will find an awesome place to escape into the woods with your special someone. We really enjoyed the time together and our stay. We liked that there is small sofa and table with two chairs in the kitchenette.

There is also, access to the common space with firepits, grills, hammocks, and more. It was a little chilly for us to use it during our stay which was sad, but it is a nice amenity. I would have loved to see an igloo available for space to visit with our friends.

We gave our stay at 10/10! I would definitely recommend this for a bourbon fanatic, like we are. If you are experiencing the bourbon trail, this is the place to go.
