Disney World Polynesian Resort Review

Disney World Polynesian Resort Review

Are you planning a Disney vacation?  I wanted to share our Disney World Polynesian Resort Review with you.  We recently stayed the Disney Polynesian Resort. It was a the Disney trip of a lifetime. If you ever have the budget to be able to stay at a deluxe Disney resort I would really suggest the Polynesian.

Staying on the monorail was FABULOUS! Not only because of the convenience but if you have a child who is a stroller I would highly suggest it. It was so easy to just roll off and on of the monorail without having to take Peyton in and out of the stroller.  The wait for traveling between parks was less than by bus for sure.

Disney World Polynesian Resort Review:

The entire resort made me feel like I was in Hawaii.  The rooms were decorated in Polynesian style.  With bamboo headboards and lots of prints and floral.  Our favorite was the bamboo chaise lounger and chair in our room.  We also had a full sofa.  It gave us lots of room to spread out and we didn’t have to sit on the beds while watching TV or hanging in our room.

Regardless of what others say we spend a few hours a day in our room whether planning for our next day or enjoying the AC on a hot day, so this extra space was really nice.  It gave us lots of room and we never felt like we were crowded.

The hotel pool was amazing!  It was the highlight of the resort.  The water slide was a favorite for Peyton and he thoroughly enjoyed the pool.  In fact he often chose swimming over the parks.  In addition we really enjoyed the hotel restaurants.  Our favorite was Ohana.  We ate there for the Character breakfast and the all you can eat family style dinner.  Both were TOP notch!

Another highlight of the resort is that they have  light show in the lagoon and on select nights they show movies and roast marshmallows.  This was for no additional charge.  You can also watch the fireworks from the beach that go off nightly at Magic Kingdom.  In our opinion there is no better Disney Resort than the Polynesian.  It was worth every penny and made our trip a magical experience for sure!
