Best Blogging Conference Ever
I attended the Social Media on the Sand (SMOTS) blogging conference and I have to say it is by far the BEST blogging conference I have ever attended. I have been doing this full time for 10 years and I have been to a lot of conferences during that time. Many of those have been nice but this one is far superior to all the others.
I mean can you really go wrong with the location. I say no. Beaches Turks and Caicos is perfection. If you have never been to a Beaches Resort you are truly missing out. Best Blogging Conference Ever:
Location – I mean it is in Turks and Caicos! Once you see the pictures that is enough said. It is also conveniently located to the Midwestern United States. We were able to hop on a plane and be there in just a few hours. That what though. It is gorgeous.
Family Time – You are invited to bring your family with you! How amazing is that! Most of the time blogger events and conferences exclude family but this one encourages and welcomes you to bring your family with you. No Mom guilt! I call that a huge win!
Fantastic Speakers – The lineup of speakers was fantastic. We heard from Adam Stewart, Rebecca Minkoff, Jamie Kern Lima from IT Cosmetics and Daymond John just to name a few. Plus we had amazing experiences and parties to attend while there.
Sponsors – The sponsors are so generous to the attendees. From gifts to experiences it was just unbelievable. We got new swim suits from Hapari, our makeup done by IT cosmetics and our hair done by DryBar (this is me after my make-over). Not to mention all of the amazing mini spa treatments by Red Lane Spa. We were pampered in paradise.
Friendship – There was plenty of opportunities to meet other bloggers and form friendships. I cherish the time spent with Shelley. We never get a lot of time together now that I moved. This conference gave us the opportunity to spend time together.
Resort – Beaches is an all inclusive resort and there are no secret costs! Everything is included! From the water activities to premium alcohol. There is nothing extra and no tipping allowed! Plus no dining reservations to make once you are there. Just time for rest and relaxation.
Affirmation – My family gave me many Thank You’s for this experience and they really “get” what I do as a result of attending this conference with me. Thanks Beaches for that! It is worth more than gold.
Seriously, if you are looking for an amazing blogger conference that will inspire you Social Media on the Sand is it! We had the time of our life and I am already hopeful that we will get the invitation again next year! I’ve seen photos from several bloggers that has gone to this conference several times. I’d love to go one day and spend time learning while enjoying family time. I know that I have set some lofty goals but I’ve been doing this since 2012 and love it.
