Ways to Save on Home Decor
Whether you are updating your home or building a new home and a new style, these tips are great for helping you save. We’ve spent so much time over the last few years building and moving into the new home that we know many of you also understand the need to save. Little things can make a huge difference in updating your home without spending a ton of money.
Update pillows with new pillow covers
I have a great list of Farmhouse style pillow covers for you to check out if you love that style. Otherwise, do some searches on Amazon or eBay for fun and unique low-cost pillow covers to suit your style. This is a super simple and affordable way to totally change the look of a room. I keep different covers on hand for different holidays and seasons. It’s fast to switch them out, and your whole room looks updated!
Print your own unique sayings to frame
Creating your own unique sayings is a perfect way to customize your home. A few dollar store picture frames around a printed quote can really add a pop to your home. Use some spray paint and glitter to add a fun look to the frame for just another $1-$2.
If you aren’t good with creating your own, you can check out this list of scripture based vinyl wall decor ideas that are inexpensive and perfect for adding to your home. They are easy to put on a clean wall and can be removed easily as well if you decide you want to add something different.
Upcycle old items with fresh paint or embellishments
Some of my favorite ideas for home decor include using what I already have on hand. Old picture frames, costume jewelry, lamp shades, and basic decor pieces can easily be painted or updated. Depending on your style, there are literally hundreds of easy ways to upgrade something you already own with just a few simple changes.
Shop online for the best deals
Online shopping allows you to easily see prices and compare. I, of course, love looking at home decor items on Amazon. There are tons of ways to save money by buying from wholesalers. While it may take a bit longer to ship to you, you’ll love the pricing.
eBay has tons of options for gently used items at great costs. Amazon is great for new products at low costs. Etsy is wonderful for handmade items that are quality and often while a bit pricier, worth the expense to be truly unique in your home.
