Relaxation Themed DIY Christmas Sock Exchange
Relaxation Themed DIY Christmas Sock Exchange. Last year my friends and I decided to do a Christmas Sock Exchange instead of our traditional white elephant gift exchange. We all loved it so much that decided to continue the tradition this year. On the top of my gift wish list for Christmas is relaxation. I don’t know a mom who couldn’t use some time to unwind and relax. I decided for my Christmas Sock Exchange this year that I would create a theme of relaxation. I thought about some items that I would personally like to receive that that is how I decided to fill my Christmas Socks!
What I love about this idea is that the items could easily be purchased at your local Walmart. You don’t need to stress out when it comes to Christmas shopping. There is no need to fight the crowd at the mall. The parking lot alone makes me stress out! You can easily shop for everyone on your gift giving list by getting creative with DIY gifts. I like DIY gifts personally because they are meaningful, and we found this Christmas Sock Exchange a great way to express our personalities. If you are worried about last minute Christmas shopping, consider Walmart as it is my one stop shop. This gift idea can be adapted to both men and women.
Relaxation Themed DIY Gift Idea:
- Pure Leaf Tea
- Lotion
- Magazine
- Chocolate
- Mug
- Christmas Earrings
- Christmas Socks
- Pretty Bow
Best of all you don’t have to wrap your gift because you use the socks! Add a cute gift tag and a bow and you have a gift that your girlfriends or co-workers will love! If you are doing this as a Christmas Sock Exchange, be sure to set a limit on how much each person should spend. We chose to limit our exchange at $20.
I am so excited to share with you one of my favorite winter treats. When it comes to winter relaxation, I love to brew a cup of hot tea and snuggle up under a blanket to read. You haven’t tasted tea until you’ve tried Pure Leaf. It is now available in the coffee and tea aisle at Walmart. I personally love to drink hot tea and I have always been a fan of Pure Leaf. Their tea is made from exceptionally long tea leaves that have been picked, rolled and dried. You may enjoy making a DIY Sharpie Mug like the one pictured above.
My Mom is a certified tea expert, and she has taught me that it is important to select tea that has these qualities. Also, the pyramid bags are another feature that is important for proper brewing. Pure Leaf sources their tea from estates in countries like India, Kenya, Indonesia and Sri Lanka where farmers are committed to growing only the best-tasting tea. With only one sip that is all it takes to awaken your taste buds. I am a personal fan of the Black Tea with Vanilla. It is a high quality product that is affordable to everyone. Add a little local honey and it is perfection.
Available flavors:
- Pure Leaf Black Tea W/ Vanilla
- Pure Leaf Green Tea with Citrus
- Pure Leaf Classic Black
- Pure Leaf Black Peach
- Pure Leaf Raspberry
- Pure Leaf Green Mint
- Pure Leaf Chai
- Pure Leaf English Breakfast
- Pure Leaf Gunpowder Green
The holiday sock exchange is perfect for families and friends. It is a fun twist on the traditional Christmas Gift Exchange, or White Elephant Gift Exchange. We also liked it more than an ornament exchange too. It was fun to see what each other got and we each opened our socks one at time to see what was inside. Be sure to visit your local Walmart and pick up the new Pure Leaf tea. It is a winter must have!
