Have you ever received flowers from someone and accidentally thrown that preservation packet in the garbage or they didn’t come with one. That just happened to me this weekend. With Valentine’s Day approaching I thought this tip might come in handy.

How to extend the life of fresh flowers:

To extend the life of fresh lowers just add a crushed aspirin in a vase of water then add your flowers. This tip was shared to me by my florist. She also suggested when you purchase flowers from a store to always cut the tip at a slant to before putting down into the vase. This will help the flowers “drink” the water.
