How to make Homemade Dishwasher Detergent

I love this recipe for Homemade Dishwasher Detergent. It is so simple with only 3 ingredients! The essential oil will provide an additional disinfectant and give it an awesome aroma.  I like to use either a citrus oil or Melaleuca oil for this recipe.  You can pick up essential oils at most health food stores that are fine for this recipe.

Homemade Dishwasher Detergent:

I love to make my own dishwasher detergent because it all natural and non-toxic.  It is still a product that you need to keep out of children’s hands but it not something you have to be worried about producing toxic chemicals in your home.  This is a great product to clean up for cheap. By making your own you will same money!

UPDATE:  After you have made this recipe if you add a 1/2 cup white vinegar and mix it up you can put it into empty ice cube trays and make dishwasher tablets!

    1. You can purchase oils to use in cleaners at health food stores or many grocery stores. You can also purchase online.

  1. If you add a little vinegar (1/2 c., for example) and mix it up, you can put it into ice cube trays and make dishwasher tablets! :O)
