3 Frugal Exercise Tips

I wanted to share with you this frugal exercise tip!  These are great for when you are starting out on working on a new year’s resolution or for anytime of the year that you want to get started with an exercise routine.

Frugal Exercise Tip:

  • Stay active during the winter months.  Shopping malls and large retail stores are good places to walk.  Also check to see if local churches or schools have indoor walking tracks that you can use for free.
  • Check out workout DVDs from your local library or swap with friends!
  • Check for free or inexpensive exercise classes at your local library, extension office, senior center or community education.

I hope this Frugal Exercise Tip helps you get started in an exercise program. You don’t have to spend a fortune to get started on an exercise plan. One of best tips I can share is to start parking further away from the entrance when you are going somewhere and also always use the stairs instead of elevators.

  1. Any daily activity that gets you moving counts as exercise — walking the dog, building a snowman, shoveling, walking the kids to the bus stop. There are also a number of wonderful exercise web sites, you tube videos and apps with easy to follow exercise ideas. You can also just put on your favorite music and start dancing 🙂
