Free Exercises To Do At Home
This week in our 52 Weeks to Wellness we are going to focus on exercise with these Free Exercises to Do at Home. Everyone always says that exercise is key to overall good health, and they are right. Unfortunately, some of us just don’t have the extra money to buy equipment or pay for a gym membership. We have some great tips that will give you easy ways to get exercise in and jump start your metabolism for free.
Free Exercises To Do At Home
Walk in place. Turn on the music and march to the beat. It may sound goofy, but doing so gets your blood pumping and burns calories. You can also do side steps, walk back and forth in a small area, or you can make laps around your home to get those steps in.
Climb stairs. If you have stairs to a second level of your home, take advantage of them by working your legs on the stairs. Climb them multiple times at a slow rate at first. The more you do, the stronger you will become. This means you can go faster, or even make more laps up and down the stairs.
Use canned goods as hand weights. Grab the canned veggies and use them as hand weights to do simple bicep and triceps curls. They are also great for adding extra weight as you walk around the house. They don’t weigh much, but will provide a bit of resistance your body needs.
Do classic exercise moves. Things like jumping jacks, push ups, sit ups, squats and lunges are all easy to do in your own living room with no extra equipment needed. Look online for videos on YouTube that will teach you proper form. Always take your time and go slowly to make sure you don’t stress your muscles.
As with any exercise program, make sure to check with your physician before you begin to make sure you aren’t doing something that could injure you instead of helping you. If you have any existing pain or injuries, you need to make sure that what you are doing will not aggravate those conditions. These free exercises to do at home are sure to keep your heart pumping without killing your budget.
