Crockpot Bacon-Wrapped Apple Chicken
Crockpot Bacon-Wrapped Apple Chicken is a must-have slow cooker recipe! All my husband and I can say is WOW about this delicious dish!
What can you say though, really? When you add bacon to any recipe it is pretty much amazing and this recipe didn’t disappoint for sure. We thought the flavor profile was amazing. Of course with the combination of BBQ, bacon, chicken and apple it is always a delicious choice.
This recipe also only calls for 6 simple ingredients and did I mention that there is bacon in it. The ingredients include: 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts, 1 cup BBQ sauce, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/8 cup lemon juice, 5 small apples, peeled and diced (I used gala apples) and 8 slices of bacon. I had all of these on hand. We love bacon in our home. We believe everything tastes better with bacon!
In a small bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice and diced apples. Wrap each chicken breast with two slices of bacon and place in a greased crockpot. Pour the BBQ-apple mixture over chicken and cover the slow cooker. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or until chicken is done. It is really that simple!
I hope you enjoy this Crockpot Bacon-Wrapped Apple Chicken as much as we did! It is one of those recipes that your family will ask for seconds while they are still eating the first! I like to serve this dinner with green beans and mashed potatoes. Cornbread and dinner rolls are a nice addition too. Be sure to give this easy slow cooker recipe a try. You will be extremely happy you did! It is soon to be a family favorite once you do!

hmmm…may have to try this. I know my husband likes the bacon part. He suggested just bacon, bacon.
Looking for easy recipes for my son in college. If he cuts the crock pot bacon-wrapped apple chicken recipe in half, will the cooking time have to be reduced ?
Can I cook it on high for less time? If so, how long would it take? Does it affect the taste?
We have not cooked on high but normally you can cut the time in half if you cook on high.
We love bacon here too–this sounds good 🙂
Can this be frozen?
We didn’t but I would say yes.
How does the bacon turn out? Is it crispy at all?
