Cranberry Jalapeno Dip

This Cranberry Jalapeno Dip is amazing. I had it at my friend Kristie’s Cookies and Cocktails Party and I immediately decided to make it for New Year’s Eve. My husband really liked it too!

Be sure to give this recipe a try! I really loved the flavor and the combination of the sweet and slight spice. My husband doesn’t like spicy, and we didn’t find this to be at all. Just be sure you deseed your jalapenos unless you like spice.

I think this would taste amazing over goat cheese too! Serve with any crackers of your choice. I served mine with gluten free to keep this appetizer something that I could enjoy but you could use any type of cracker you like. I think a butter cracker or town cracker would be nice.

I hope you enjoy this Cranberry Jalapeno Dip as much as we did. My husband said it was really festive and perfect for Christmas. I plan to serve it next year on Christmas Eve.

Prep Time:12 hours 10 minutes

Equipment

  • 1 glass pie pan

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. fresh or frozen cranberries, chopped
  • 2 whole fresh jalapenos, seeded and chopped
  • 1/3 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 boxes cream cheese, softened
  • 3 TBSP fresh lime juice, bottled is ok
  • 1 box crackers of your choice

Instructions

  • Using a food processor or blender chop up your cranberries, jalapenos and cilantro. I like this to be a very chopped consistency so that the flavors blend.
  • Add 1/2 cup sugar and fresh lime juice and place into a covered dish and refrigerate up to 24 hours. I advise at least 12 hours.
  • Soften your cream cheese until it is spreadable. You can transfer to the pie pan and even heat it for 30 seconds. Spread until creamy and smooth in the pie pan.
  • Drain off any extra liquid and pour over the cream cheese.
  • Enjoy this delicious appetizer with crackers of your choice. I use gluten free crackers personally, but a butter cracker or club cracker would be nice.
