Roasted Radishes

Roasted Radishes Recipe is a yummy low carb side dish. It is a nice replacement for a potato in recipes.

Have you tried Roasted Radishes?  Last week when I picked up my produce co-op there were two huge bags of radishes.  In addition, our radishes were ready to harvest so to say the least we were literally “swimming” in radishes.  I decided to look for alternatives to salads and decided to give cooking them a try. I am not a fan of the bitter or spicy raw flavor and was looking for an alternative to potatoes.

I ended up roasting them in the oven and it turned out to be a huge success.  They were tender inside and a little crispy on the outside. I just made this recipe up and was pleased with how they turned out and wanted to share with you.  You could also prepare on the grill in a foil packet.

After cooked they were not “spicy” like when raw.  They reminded us more of a turnip or cauliflower.  We really enjoyed them, and it is a great way to use radishes as a nice low carb side dish. Roasted Radishes Recipe is a yummy low carb side dish. It is a nice replacement for a potato in recipes.

This is a gluten free and Paleo recipe.  It is also Candida Friendly and Whole 30 compliant.  It is also a Keto Friendly Recipe too!

  1. Another great way to eat radishes is to make a radish gratin with them – slice thin, put into a buttered baking dish and layer with grated parmesan, some heavy cream or milk, salt and pepper, cover with some bread crumbs and parsley, and bake at 350 until tender and bubbling. Really yummy.
