Why you should stay at Hotel Covington when you visit NKY

Hotel Covington is easily our favorite hotel in NKY. We recently spent four nights at Hotel Covington and it was perfection. Even if you don’t have time to stay you must visit.

This was the perfect location for us!  It was convenient to camp and we enjoyed the luxury amenities of this boutique hotel. The staff was so accommodating to us and brought us ice daily for our cooler and filled my sons water bottle each morning.  We stayed in a 2-queen bed city view room. Our room on the 5th floor was spacious, and the over-sized bathroom was modern.  We had plenty of room to spread out and didn’t feel cramped at all.  Pets are welcome at the hotel. A $75.00 fee is required at check-in to allow them to clean and sanitize the room after departure. No more than two pets are allowed per guestroom.

We really enjoyed the outdoor courtyard (patio) as we played the life-size jenga and connect four games. It gave us plenty of room to enjoy the outdoors without leaving our hotel in the evening.  The lobby is gorgeous and there is plenty of seating to hang out with friends, grab a drink or read a book and relax. They also feature an Artisan Coffee Bar located in the lobby of Hotel Covington where you can grab a free cup of locally roasted coffee and a quick breakfast on the go.  They serve craft coffee drinks, Rishi teas, house made sodas and smoothies, and fresh squeezed juices. All hotel guests receive 2 coffee tokens in their guest rooms that can be redeemed for a complimentary cup of drip coffee (per day).

We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Coppins Restaurant while we were staying at Hotel Covington. I enjoyed the pimento cheese deviled eggs as a starter and the Pat LaFrieda Dry Aged Prime Sirloin Strip as my entree.  It was so tasty! I was thrilled that they had so many gluten free options. My son enjoyed the Beer Battered Cheese Curds as his starter and the Coppin’s Burger for his entree. For dessert, I enjoyed the milk chocolate pudding (seriously delicious) and my son enjoyed the sorbet.

Coppins is the perfect destination for a girl’s night out, date night or special occasion or in our case mom/son date night!  Don’t be concerned if you think the menu is small because every single item we tried was delicious and there is something for everyone. Even my picky teen was happy and that is saying a lot!  He requested to go back on our last night in town. Plus, they will customize to suit your needs. The service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was too!

Hotel Covington is easily our favorite hotel in NKY.  It is clean, comfortable, and modern with a nostalgic charm. All the staff that we experienced from housekeeping, valet, managers, to restaurant staff were friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend Hotel Covington and hope to go back again soon the next time we are in town.

  1. The hotel looks so comfortable and elegant! I’m loving the oversized match 4 game – makes for an awesome photo opp and a lot of fun to share a game with the family. The food also looks delish. We’ll definitely have to make a stop there when we’re in town.

  2. I love that life sized game and the fact that they allow pets! The rooms look really nice as well How were the bathrooms? It’s weird but that’s one of the first thing I look at. It’s almost a deal breaker for me! Looks like the perfect getaway even in terms of food with their gluten free options!!
