Pumpkin Patches in NKY/Greater Cincinnati. Visiting the Pumpkin Patch is one of our favorite Fall activities.  If you are local to us in Northern KY or Greater Cincinnati, we have a roundup of locations that you will want to consider.

Pumpkin Patches in NKY/Greater Cincinnati:

Our favorite is Daniels Petting Farm and Pumpkin Patch.  It is located in Independence, KY.  There is an ad in the local recorders for $1.00 off admission and that is a per person savings.  Included in the cost of admission, $9 per person (children and adults) is a hayride, play time in their play “pen” and outdoor play area and a cup of feed to pet and feed the animals.  They have a picnic area where you can purchase snacks/drinks/food, or you are welcome to bring your own.  It is an additional charge for pumpkins and riding the pony.  It is open Saturday’s & Sunday’s October 2 – October 31 from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm to the public and is a great place for school field trips.  It is located at 1850 Walton Nicholson Pike in Independence, KY 41051.  For more information visit www.danielspettingzoo.com or call 859-240-0834.  This is hands down one of the favorite days of our year when we visit Daniels Farm!

Shaw Farms.  It is open daily in September from 9-6 and in October from 9-7.  They offer Pumpkin Characters, Interactive Playground, Hands on Entertainment, Pumpkins/Gourds/Squash for sale as well as Corn Stalks and Decorative items.  On the weekends they offer scenic horse drawn or tractor drawn hayrides, cost $3 and they have an onsite keeper & blacksmith.  They have face painting, 12 Acre Corn Maze and Bluegrass Bands.  They offer FREE admission and FREE parking.  They have a Costume Parade on October 30, 2010 at 3 PM.  They also offer field trips.  For more information visit shawfarms.com or call 513-575-2022.  They are located at 1737 ST RT. 131 Milford, OH.

Benton Farms in Walton, KY.  They are open Saturdays and Sunday’s starting the last weekend in September and all weekends in October to the 31st.  Open from 11:30 – 6 pm (last hayride at 5:15 pm).  You can visit/feed the animals.  They have gourds, straw, mums and corn stalks for sale.  They also have a small kids corn maze.  Admission is $7 per person (3 years and under free).  Admission includes visits with the barnyard animals including learning to milk a cow, shearing a sheep, brushing a calf, play with the bunnies, holding a chick, and meeting a 500 pound pig!   Pumpkins are extra.  For more information visit bentonfamilyfarm.webs.com or call 859-485-7000.  They are located at 11946 Old Lexington Pike Walton, KY 41094.

Farm Haven located in Union, KY is open every Saturday and Sunday until the end of October from 11am until 7pm. Admission is $8 for adults and children ages 3 and up. They have a $1 senior discount. They have a Hayride, Petting Zoo, Corn Maze and tour their Log Cabin.  Also available is a concession stand, pony rides, pumpkins and a baked goods and craft store.You can park at the Union Presbyterian Church on US 42, from the parking lot you can walk across a bridge to the farm.  For more information visit www.unionmaze.org or call 859-384-1547.

McGlasson Farms located in Hebron, KY.  They offer a roadside stand with everything apples!  They also have live music each weekend.  Though I have not been I hear they have great apple fritters!  For more information visit www.mcglassonfarms.com or call 859-689-5229.  They are located 3 miles west of the Anderson Ferry at 5832 River Road in Hebron, KY.

Kinman’s Farm in Burlington, KY. They offer a Corn Maze, Barn Animals, Hayrides, Bonfires, Picnic Shelter, Pony Rides, Kinman’s Grill, Face Painting, Baked Goods, Pumpkin Patch, Corn Hole, Playhouse, Volleyball, Tetherball, & Much More!!   They are open every Friday Saturday and Sunday through Oct. 31st.  The cost is $8.00 and they do offer a coupon so check their website – www.kinmanfarmsfallfest.com

Dream Acre’s Farm outside of Camden, Ohio on Camden/Darrtown Rd. They have a Corn Maze, petting zoo, and pumpkin patch and hayride. $5 for adults, $3 for kids, 6 & under are free. They also have a kids maze and bouncy house and play area for the kiddos. Saturday hours are 1 – 8, Sunday 1 – 6.  Visit DreamAcresOnline.com for more information.

Niederman Farms is located at 4972 LeSourdesville-West Chester Road in Liberty Township, Ohio 45011 They have a hayride to the pumpkin patch, a petting zoo, tons of play sets, bounce houses for little and big kids, swings and great big area to run around in. Redman’s Farm is located in Morning View, KY. The cost is only $5 and they offer a U – Pick-Em Pumpkin Patch, Hayrides, Corn Maze, Farm Animals, Bon Fire, Fall Decorations and Concessions. They also have a Haunted Trail from Dusk to 10 pm and Movie Nights on Friday and Saturday nights with Kids Movies at Dusk and Scary Movies at 9 pm. Visit RedmansFarmNKY.com for details.

  1. We went to Niederman Farms this weekend. I think it’s in Liberty Twp. (it’s in Lakota’s School district). It was great. They had a hay ride to the pumpkin patch, a petting zoo, tons of play sets, bounce houses for little and big kids, swings and great big area to run around in. My 2 year old had a blast!

  3. The one is Union is called Farm Haven! Admission includes a wagon ride back in the pasture to feed the cows!! We went Saturday & had a great time!!

  4. Mcglassons doesn’t have Apple fritters. They have pumpkins, gourds, fresh vegetables, hay bales, cornstalks, anything apple, pick your own pumpkins, on the weekends they have a small flea market in october, sometimes music and crafters
