Our First NBA Game

I have always been a basketball loving girl from Kentucky! Everyone knows most Kentuckians live, eat, breath basketball, horses, and bourbon! Basketball is by far my favorite and I am so lucky to share that love with my son. When my son was little he picked the Dallas Cowboys as his football team and then he started loving Dallas Mavericks basketball.  I am a Luka Dončić fan so it was really easy for me to say “YES” to Our First NBA Game!

Indianapolis is about 2 hours from us so we decided to catch the Pacers and Mavericks game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.  Let me just say this is a beautiful arena.  We loved it!  This arena was probably the cleanest arena I have ever been in.  The food, bar, snack and bathrooms were top notch. The people were so friendly and the arena has so much to offer.

Since this was our first NBA game we had no idea what to expect.  We were really excited but a little nervous about parking and such. I knew if we were going to make this drive I wanted great seats and parking.  We pre-purchased and had incredible luck. We walked across the street from our VIP parking place directly in to the building and our seats were amazing!

Our Favorite Things at the Game!

There was so much going on at this NBA game! Contests, dance offs, crowd cams, cheerleaders/dancers, mascots, and lots of local high school chorus and dance teams provided entertainment.  There was never a dull moment! Of course, our favorite part was the game!  We are proud to say the Mavericks brought home the WIN!

We were totally impressed with the snack and food selections! You could get anything from tacos, burgers, to Chick Fil A! We really enjoyed the amazing milkshakes from Steak and Shake, which is also located inside the arena! There is something for everyone!

This was totally new to us and we loved it! Sometimes you need to go on adventures and explore new things.  It is so fun to have firsts with your kids.  We can now say we went to our first NBA game together.  Lots of memories were made! We totally recommend checking out a NBA game, especially at Gainbridge Fieldhouse!
