Hotel Felix Review, Chicago, IL – Eco Friendly Hotel with a Great Location

Girls Weekend Trip - Hotel Felix Review, Chicago, IL

I wanted to share with you my Hotel Felix Review, Chicago, IL. We visited Chicago for business and stayed at the Hotel Felix. I decided to shoot a quick video of the room once we arrived.

The Hotel Felix is an eco-friendly boutique hotel in downtown Chicago’s River North neighborhood. Located on the corner of Clark and Huron streets, the Hotel Felix is only steps away from restaurants, galleries, nightlife, and the famous Magnificent Mile shopping which makes it very convenient.  It is a great location for  girls weekend getaway of shopping in Chicago!

The Hotel Felix is a 4-star hotel. As downtown Chicago’s first hotel to receive a Silver LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, they go to great lengths to preserve a natural environment. You can tell from the design and choice of decorations too. It has a nice “artsy” feel.

Luckily, sustainability doesn’t have to compromise comfort. Each of Hotel Felix’s 225 modern guestrooms includes upgraded services and amenities including valet parking, flat screen TV’s, in room safes, comfortable bathrobes and luxurious bedding and linens.  Each room offers a work desk and free high-speed Internet, which really came in handy for me. They also offer a spa, which features Aveda’s line of eco-friendly beauty products and a fitness center.   They have a restaurant too. Next time I must take time for the spa.

As you enter our lobby, you will quickly find the elements of life… earth, wind, water, and fire. It is a contemporary design with some cool artwork. It was affordable with rooms starting at $89 and it was clean. The rooms were small but you aren’t in the City for the rooms. I am there for location and the Hotel Felix provided that. Plus it was clean and safe.

I did like the location. It was really convenient and within walking distance to shopping and dining. It felt safe for women traveling too.  I would suggest Hotel Felix for a girl’s weekend or couples get-away.
