Gaylord Opryland Hotel Review – Nashville, TN – A Romantic Getaway
I wanted to share with you my review of our stay at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel Review – Nashville, TN. WOW! We are home from the best weekend get-a-way of our married life (celebrating 14 years that same weekend)! That may be hard to believe that this was our favorite weekend getaway unless you have ever stayed at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN.
I surprised my husband with a trip to the Opryland Hotel for his 40th birthday. Of course I can’t lie, there was a special offer involved 🙂 I was reading a magazine and saw an advertisement for a BOGO offer for your birthday or anniversary. I had been trying to figure out where to take him that wouldn’t break our budget but that would still be really nice for his big 40!
I called and they had availability so I booked the room! We paid for 1 night and got the 2nd night FREE! I have stayed at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel on business but had no time to enjoy the resort. It is HUGE. My first tip is if you are going to stay at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel you MUST spend time in the hotel. We spent an entire day there enjoying the pool, dining and hanging out in the lobby/common areas. The decor is beautiful! There is some gorgeous artwork and it is very open and spacious. It reminded me of Disney in terms of service and quality.
Our room was extremely clean and the beds were amazing. The kind of of mattresses and high quality sheets where you don’t want to get up out of in the morning. We also enjoy several meals and they had NO problems accommodating my gluten free diet! Every single restaurant made accommodations. I even had a delicious brownie for dessert one night.
My second tip would be to pack snacks and drinks to help save yourself money once inside the resort. Each night you get (1) bottle of water per person but soft drinks and snacks were very expensive and we were glad we brought our own stash from our stockpile.
The Gaylord Opryland Hotel is within close distance to the Opryland Mills Mall with lots of awesome shopping and dining and they do provide a free shuttle service back and forth for guests. We took advantage of it and it was worth the wait to avoid the traffic and parking.
I can’t say enough about the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. I think it should be on every person’s bucket list! Also they have some amazing specials which include going to the Grand Ole Opry. They also have the awesome Anniversary BOGO sale going on through 2012 and always check online and join their email newsletter for additional ways to save.
Disclosure: Stockpiling Moms did not pay for my room – we paid for it ourselves. This is not a sponsored post and all opinions are 100% my own. I would welcome any opportunity to work with the Gaylord Hotels in the future.

I was there too this past weekend! It was amazing! We spent 6 1/2 hours at the Outlet mall and found amazing deals. We even got a free coupon book that helped us same money! What coupons we were not useing, we gave to people in line. I was even called “an angel sent from heaven!” Opryland was awesome to stay at! Glad you had fun!
Great tip!
I’m so happy to hear you loved it! We have never been but are going in December. I’m really excited to spend Christmas Eve and Day at the Opryland hotel.
Oh I would LOVE to spend Christmas Eve and Day there!
