Dr. Oz Natural Teeth Whitener
I found this Dr. Oz Teeth Whitener recipe and decided to give it a try. It said to take 1/4 cup of baking soda and mix it with the juice of 1/2 lemon and then apply it to your teeth with a Q-tip. Leave on your teeth for 1 minute then brush. This amount was more than enough for both my husband and I to use. In the future I would actually reduce it to 2 TBSP baking soda with enough juice to make it a consistency to apply.
Dr. Oz Natural Teeth Whitener:
You will keep the whitener on your teeth for 1 full minute and then brush. I did notice an immediate difference. Longer term using this all-natural tooth whitener I have seen great results! If you are a coffee or tea drinker, it will take several applications before you notice a difference. I spoke to my dentist, and you shouldn’t do this method too often as it may irritate your gums and remove the enamel on your teeth because of the acid in the lemon. If it does irritate, then you should try 1 day on and 1 day off or even every 3 days. I love that this is a natural teeth whitener however I am not certain it is for everyone. Using 1 time a week to maintain is also a good idea.

Many readers have discussed that this may cause enamel to be removed. I am not giving medical advise on that but in my opinion all things in moderation are OK.

so it is safe it wont take the enamel off your teeth
My dentist ok’d it in moderation.
That’s like saying people shouldn’t eat or cook with lemons, or use baking soda in anything. It’s about moderation and probably how long it’s just sitting on the teeth I think. Dentists want to see people still coming to them for cleanings…it’s a way to earn money.
Can I leave the container in the counter and use it again so I don’t waste it or do I have to make a new batch each time?
I made too much and put saran wrap over it and used again.
If you make more then enough how long can you keep it?!
In the fridge I would think for up to 7 days.
You can brush with toothpaste or coconut oil or baking soda.
Wow! Instant results. Thanks for the tip 🙂
