Crockpot Venison Roast

My venison roast was so tender and full of amazing flavors the kids couldn’t tell it was deer meat. My husband could not say enough good things about it! Crockpot Venison Roast is a delicious comfort food recipe made with simple ingredients!

Crockpot Venison Roast

I had all the ingredients for this recipe in my pantry and kitchen. To prepare, layer half of the slices of onion and bell pepper in the bottom of the crock pot, top with venison roast and remaining onion and bell peppers.  Sprinkle with soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic and pepper.

In a small bowl combine onion soup mix and can of soup; mix together and pour mixture over venison. Cook on low setting for 6 -8 hours. Remove roast and slice or shred. Pour gravy mixture over top and serve.

I made this in a crockpot on high for 4 hours. I used a homemade onion soup mix and red pepper instead of green. It was delicious! Served with mashed potato, canned corn and canned french cut green beans (not my favourite
canned food, but I’m trying to use what we stocked up with in case of quarantine needs) but it was so good! The sauce/gravy made it all taste sooooo great together! I’ll definitely keep this recipe for future deer roasts.

Thanks for the easy recipe! I didn’t have onion powdered soup mix or cream of mushroom so I did beefy mushroom soup, can of mushrooms, onion powder, and red wine vinegar in place of those. Served with jasmine rice and veggies. Great meal!

Marvellous recipe. I made this today because I had 90% of the ingredients available to use and a defrosted deer roast. I didn’t have green peppers so it was the one thing I didn’t add. It turned out amazing and I will definitely make it again. Thanks so much for the great recipe!
