  1. So unless specifically stated, like on some of the beef meals, are you freezing the chicken raw? That seems to be the case, I just want to be sure before I try to make these meals. They all look great, by the way, and I’ll be making the 20 meals soon!!

I added sauteed mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, and peas with about an hour to go. Turned out really good. I might add some thick cut bacon or pancetta next time too 🙂

we have made this recipe for years and it is my boys’ favorite. We actually add one more can of cream of mushroom and to your point we always add peas as well as the mushrooms. One other tip is to add sour cream right before serving. Great touch and totally changes the recipe every now and again to mix it up.

  3. This is probably a dumb question but do you defrost the bag of whatever you want to make FIRST or just dump it into the crockpot frozen?

  4. I have a question! On a lot of your recipes, the cook time is 8 hours with serving sizes for 4-6 people.
If I were to divide these recipes in half, does the cook time remain the same?

Also, when freezing the veggies with the meats, is it okay for them to cook together all day long? Do I need to keep them separate or add the veggies later after the meat has been cooking for a while?

    1. Yes but use a smaller slow cooker. I use a 1.5 Qt when I cut these in 1/2. Yes it is fine to cook together. No worries1

I feel like i did something wrong because this came out SO GARLICY. It was extremely overpowering. I might try this again just to see if it was chef’s error, but as i had it I was not a fan

    1. It is a Cheesy Garlic Chicken so I would suggest cutting that down if you try it again.

  6. I don’t have the cheese soup. What could I sub? What sides would be good too.
Thank you for all your recipes. They have helped our busy lives so much!

    1. You could try a cream of any soup – but it will loose the cheesy flavor. Rice, noodles, mashed potatoes. 🙂

question…I was at the store buying these items. Now with the cream or chicken and the cheddar cheese soup, I bought condensed soup (campbell), without thinking. Condensed soup, normally you add a can of water/milk to make the soup…now for this recipe, are we doing that? I didn’t see regular soup, only the condensed, however I didn’t look very hard either…just a quick scan…. any suggestions?

  8. The flavour was nice the family liked it. I live in Australia and we don’t have cheese soup so I substituted for cream of chicken soup and added 2 cups of grated tasty cheese. The biggest issue we found was the amount of liquid in it ( no I didn’t add any) I tried thickening it with cornflour but it didn’t work real well and turned into more of a chicken soup. I used regular minced garlic and couldn’t taste it at all. Still a great flavour.
