How many oz of crushed tomatoes did you use?
15 oz.
Do you need to pre-cook the beef round steak the night before?
Does the beef need to be pre-cooked before depositing it in the slow cooker with the other ingredients?
Some of the ingredients are listed twice. It’s that a typo? BTW, I love this concept!!!
Fixed the error! Thanks for catching that.
Should this be cooked 5-6 hours or 8 hours on low? Both directions are listed.
5-6 hours.
Do you slice the beef into small edible bites before you cook?
No, after it is cooked it slices easily.
I have a concern, you have calmed that this recipe and several others are gluten free, but soy sauce has wheat protein in it. If in the recipe you would state gluten free soy sauce is to be used that would be safer. Yes a person who has gluten issues are aware and would use the correct soy sauce, but if someone was just to make this and say give it to a person with gluten issues, that would not be good.
I clearly state that – This recipe is naturally gluten free when you use gluten free soy sauce. I have also updated the recipe card to include as well.
When mentioned to dump the bag in the slow cooker do you mean the freezer bag itself or should I place the items in a slow cooker insert?
Just dump the ingredients into the slow cooker. Never use a freezer bag in the slow cooker. Thanks!
Are you supposed to buy round steaks or a round roast? And do you buy top round, bottom round, or eye of round? Theres just so many options of beef cuts and the directions don’t specify. THANKS!
You can use the eye, top or bottom round, your choice. This is round steak not round roast. Thanks!
This is soup or is that a misprint?
It is not a soup. Thanks for catching that!
Wanted to add some more seasoning to make it pop.
