Cabin Menu Plan
Cabin Menu Plan – A Great Way to Save Money on Vacation. We recently spent a long weekend in Gatlinburg, TN together as a family. We rented a cabin and enjoyed spending time together. We decided to plan and organize meals in advance and split up the groceries and meals between various family members. This way not one family member felt like they were in the kitchen the entire time. By creating a Cabin Menu Plan we were able to save time and money while vacationing. It worked out really well for our family.
We choose to prepare breakfast and dinner each day in our plan. Lunch was either on your own or we just snacked. We found that this kept each of us feeling like we were still on vacation and with the remote location of the cabin it kept us from spending a lot of time (and money) driving to restaurants. Of course, I utilized my crock pot! With a little organization we were able to bring our groceries with us which saved us even more money.
Cabin Menu Plan:
First Night:
Dinner: Bean Stew with Sugar Cornbread – Made in advance and brought with us
2nd Day:
Breakfast: Crockpot Breakfast Casserole
Dinner: Easy Ranch Burgers, Homemade French Fries, Roasted Broccoli
3rd Day:
Breakfast: Homemade Breakfast Burritos – Made in advance and brought frozen
Dinner: Easy Crockpot BBQ Chicken, Crockpot Baked Potatoes, Green Beans, Homemade Garlic Bread
4th Day:
Breakfast: Biscuits and Gravy Casserole
