Brown Sugar Meatloaf is seriously AMAZING! This is a really popular recipe with our families. My husband and children LOVED this recipe!   I must admit that I do too.  Meatloaf was something that my husband did not enjoy much as a child but then he had mine and was pleased that it was delicious. So every now and then I like to make this version of the meatloaf aside from how I traditionally make it. I also like to put ketchup on top of mine when I eat it — do you???

Another great way to cook meatloaf is in a muffin tin. You can also freeze meatloaf too!  I love the tip that Melissa recently shared about Using plastic gloves when you prepare your meatloaf – It really cuts down on the clean up!  I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we did!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Brown Sugar Meatloaf is seriously AMAZING! This is a really popular recipe with our families.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef chuck
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 package dry onion soup mix
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3/4 cup Italian bread crumbs

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Line a casserole dish with foil.
  • In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, ketchup and 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce.
  • Divide evenly among three separate bowls; set aside.
  • In a large bowl combine garlic, Worcestershire sauce, milk, eggs, salt, pepper, soup mix, ginger, bread crumbs and one bowl (1/3) of prepared brown sugar/ketchup mixture.
  • Add ground beef and mix to thoroughly combine.
  • Shape into a loaf and spoon one bowl (1/3) of prepared brown sugar/ketchup mixture onto the top of the loaf.
  • Place the meat loaf, brown sugar/ketchup side down, into prepared casserole dish.
  • Top with remaining bowl (1/3) of prepared brown sugar/ketchup mixture.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour, until juices are clear or until thermometer inserted into the loaf reads 160.
  • Let stand 10 minutes before slicing.

    My family and I absolutely love this recipe (even my husband who is not a fan of meatloaf)!!! The only difference I made was how I cook it. I cook it in the regular 24 slot cupcake pan. For my family it takes doubling the recipe and using two pans. This method only takes 20 minutes which is wonderful for my 3 impatient kids, lol. Thank you so much sharing this fabulous recipe = )
