5 Ways to Increase Your Savings at Target
Check out these 5 Ways to Increase Your Savings at Target. Target seems to have their finger on the pulse of what your average consumer wants – big savings on quality goods. The retail chain has stepped up the discount game with many options and various ways to stack savings for incredible deals. Of course this means that we have an opportunity to stockpile and save money.
You might be missing out on some of the discounts. The company recently introduced a new Cartwheel program and some consumers are still unaware of the mobile coupons. Match that with their stacking-friendly policies and you have some huge missed savings!
5 Ways to Increase Your Savings at Target:
Mobile Coupons – Guests can receive Target Mobile Coupons by signing up for Text Alerts at Target.com/mobile or by texting COUPONS to 827438 (TARGET). You will be texted messages that include a link to the coupons. Click the link and present the barcode to the cashier when check out. Each coupon is good for one use unless otherwise noted. You can stack these coupons with manufactures coupons, REDcard savings, sales and Cartwheel savings.
Cartwheel – This recently introduced discount program provides a percentage discounts off a vast array of items. Guests sign up for the program and then choose which items you’d like to put in your savings cart. You have a limited amount of spots, but you earn more spots as you use the program. You can either download the app onto your smartphone and have the cashier scan your barcode or print off your list with the barcode for the employee to scan. This stacks with store coupons, mobile coupons, manufacturer coupons, REDcard savings and sales. They usually feature an amazing deal at least once a month. For instance, for a short period of time Cartwheel users could get 10% off an iPad Air!
Target Web/Store Coupons – You will find these on their website under the coupons tab. The website offers a mix of manufacturer coupons and store coupons you can print at home. This is where you can really maximize savings by stacking one store coupon with one manufacturer coupon on a single specified item. For example, if you have a $1 off coupon manufacturer coupon for one box of Kellog’s cereal and a $1 off Target store coupon for the exact same item, you can use both and get $2 off one box of cereal. Pair that with any sales, Cartwheel discounts and your REDcard savings and you will get an amazing deal.
REDcard – Instead of just offering a discount for Target Credit Card holders, the retailer extends the discount to those who link their current debit card to a REDcard. The debit REDcard works like a check by drawing from your existing checking account. You will get 5% off every purchase made in store and online along with free shipping for purchases made on the Target site. (Managers and store reps have assured guests that the recent data incident has been completely cleared and the system changed to prevent further issues.) Again, this discount applies to every transaction and stacks with any type of coupon, discount or sale.
Price Match – Target goes even further than your average price match guarantee. They will match the price if you buy a qualifying item at Target or CityTarget stores then find the identical item for less in the following week’s Target weekly ad or within seven days at Target.com, Amazon.com, Walmart.com, BestBuy.com, or in a competitor’s local printed ad. Price match may be requested prior to your purchase. Simply bring in proof of the current lower price, the original receipt and they’ll match the price at the Guest Service Desk. Note that this offer has some exclusions; the main one being items advertised as limited time/limited supply/limited quantity.
