Weight Watchers Butterfinger Dessert
Weight Watchers Butterfinger Dessert is absolutely divine! Who knew you could eat this great dessert and it’s only 4 points or 5 points plus per serving. It makes 15 servings in the entire 13X9 dish. With Labor Day coming and lots of cook outs and end of the summer parties this would make an excellent recipe to take.
It only takes about 15 minutes to make from start to finish if you buy a prepared angel food cake (which I did from Kroger to make it easier and faster). You only need 5 ingredients to make this scrumptious dessert! It is a no bake dessert that everyone will enjoy!

Hi Moms, as a lifetime W.W. member, I’m always looking for W.W. recipes. I just came across your web site and am impressed. The Butterfinger recipe looks outrageous and I’ll be trying it and making copies for my W.W. friends. I noticed that you did not include theW.W. points + count. Could you please include this important info for us in the future? Look forward to viewing more of your website. Thanks in advance for your response and W.W. point + count.
See above Pat: “Who knew you could eat this great dessert and it’s only 4 points per serving”
It comes out to 5 points + – I hope this helps!
I made this recipe and ate it before putting it into my app. It was 8 points, not 4 or 5. It was good, but since I’m only alotted 16 points a day, it was not worth the points. I know WW has changed over the years, but isn’t it possible to update your post so someone’s entire diet isn’t thrown off?
It may be worth it for someone on the green plan but personally, being on purple, I won’t be making this again, and will probably end up throwing away the leftovers since I really can’t afford the points.
Thank you for your comment! I have been making this for my husband, who has been on WW for awhile now, and I joined earlier this year; this is definitely more points(when you input all of the ingredients) for our plan, now(we double checked the points after I read your comment)
Very delicious!!! I would make this again. Very easy to make.
I have made this and it was very easy and very good!
Thanks Tammy!
I haven’t been able to find fat free sugar free butterscotch pudding mix, but I made it with cheesecake flavor pudding mix (fat free sugar free) and it’s incredible!
That’s good to know! I had trouble finding the butterscotch, too!
Do u use the instant pudding mix
Yes.
what is the serving size?
16
How much is one serving? A half cup or one cup…..
1/2 cup.
I just went to the store to buy the ingredients to make this. Did you use a small box or large box of the pudding?
Small 🙂
Oh no! The ingredients said 3.4oz and the small box is only 1oz so I used 3 1/2 small boxes mixed with 1 1/2c of skim milk, it was thick but I was able to spread it on. Now I’m worried it won’t taste okay for dessert :(. Why does the recipe say 3.4oz if it’s supposed to be small box?
So is it the small 1 oz box or the bigger 3.5 oz box? And do you refrigerate it per the pudding recipe or just whisk it and combine with the other ingredients? Thanks!
How far in advance can you make?
I would say 24 hours.
I plan on making this recipe on Sunday. Is it the small 1 oz box of pudding or do I use 3.5oz like it says?? Thanks so much
3.5 oz.
3.5 oz is the size of non sf box of pudding. 1 oz is the correct size of you are using sf.
can anyone tell me what the points for this recipe are on Blue and green? I want to make it for a friend’s birthday who is on WW.
8 points on blue is what I calculated.
Easy peasy, no cooking required, tasty, AND WW friendly. Win, win, win AND win!
I just made my second batch of this, We love it. I wanted to add the recipe into my WW site, once I listed the ingredients it came out to 10 points!!!!!
Thanks! When this recipe was created it was the WW points listed but as we know those points values have changed through the years. Glad you enjoyed!
Can I use fat free RediWhip instead of Cool whip ?
You can give it a try but because it is an aerosol product I am not sure how that would work. You could use TruWhip.
I am making this for a work pot luck. I know it says can be made 24hrs in advance but Can anyone tell me (who has already made it) is it best to make the night before or 2 hrs before work?
I also entered the ingredients into my WW recipe builder and I come up with 4 pts per serving- 1/15. for Blue plan.
NOTE: the butterfinger serving is 2 candy bars, so you only pick 4 servings not 8. That might be where others are off. Just saying, not insulting anyone’s intelligence as I almost figured it out that way.
Thank You Traci! I have heard that it can be made 24 hours in advance from others.
Can you freeze this dessert?
I never have but you could try it.
