Weekend Trip to Berea KY

Enjoy a Weekend Trip to Berea KY. This past weekend I planned and organized a trip to Berea, KY for my friends to celebrate my husband’s 50th Birthday. We all met at Berea College so there was no place more nostalgic than a trip back to where we all met for his celebration.

I have shared before why you should take a road trip to Berea, KY but now I am sharing a sample weekend itinerary with you. My friends were all thrilled with the weekend I planned so I thought I would share it with you too.

Weekend Trip to Berea KY:

I would suggest staying the Historic Boone Tavern Hotel or Pine Croft Cottage.

Thursday: 4:00 pm – Check in Airbnb and Boone Tavern Hotel

Thursday: 6:00 pm – Dinner at Nightjar (436 Chestnut Street)

Friday: 7:30 am – Pick up for Bourbon Tour. Tour Woodford Reserve at 9:30 am.

Friday: 11:00 am – Lunch immediately after (best to make a reservation) at The Stave. It was amazing!

Friday: After lunch – Visit Castle and Key Distillery for a tasting and gift shop

Friday: 6:00 pm – Dinner at Boone Tavern

Saturday: 9 am – Hiking at the Pinnacles for those interested. Breakfast at Happy Jack’s or Native Bagel.

Saturday: Walk around campus, shopping at College Square and Old Town. Berea Farmer’s Market is open. Kayaking or bike rental available via Get Outside KY. Lunch options: Noodles Nirvana or Papaleno’s.

Saturday: 7:00 pm – Dinner at Honeysuckle (100 Churchill Court, Berea, KY).

Sunday: 11:00 – Checkout of Airbnb/Hotel

Sunday: 11:00 am – Brunch at Honeysuckle. or Boone Tavern.
