The Kentucky Castle Anniversary Destination

The Kentucky Castle is an unique destination that EVERYONE needs to put on their travel bucket list right here in Central Kentucky. It isn’t every day that you get the opportunity to stay in a castle. We just don’t have castles available to us like they do in Ireland so it is not an opportunity we have. And if you are like me and dream of staying in a castle you no longer have to simply dream of this experience.

The Kentucky Castle:

My husband and I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary at the Kentucky Castle. It was truly one of the neatest and most unique places we have ever stayed. It is the PERFECT backdrop for an anniversary celebration, wedding or special occasion. In fact while we were there we felt like we were transported back in time.

The Kentucky Castle

We had the pleasure of staying in one of the four tower rooms. The Kentucky Castle only has 10 rooms total so as you can imagine it is a quaint place to stay. I loved the unique charm and character. It is a bucket list travel destination for sure.

It is a breathtaking moment as you are driving towards the castle and see it for the first time . You will certainly feel transported back in time as you walk along the cobblestone path up to the castle.

The Kentucky Castle

We not only had the chance to spend the night at the castle but we also dined there. The small farm to table menu was unique just like the castle. The chef creates the menu based on the food that he grows and purchases from local farms. They even accommodated my gluten free needs.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and had the opportunity to try several delicious items. My personal favorite was the dessert. We enjoyed a delicious bourbon creme brûlée that was out of this world. They are bite sized which is all we needed at the end of the delicious dinner.

The Kentucky Castle

I enjoyed the gorgeous backdrop for our photos. Just taking it all in and imagining what life could be like if we lived in a castle. It was a true fairy tale experience.

The sunset was breathtaking and we enjoyed how accommodating the castle employees were in taking photos for us. It is always difficult to get good photos just the two of us when we travel. We even enjoyed some time sitting by the pool and fire pit relaxing and just taking it all in.
