Pumpkin Patch Pie
Pumpkin Patch Pie is such an easy dessert to make for a Halloween treat. You can make this recipe ahead of time for a party and you only need a few ingredients. Kids and adults will love this festive snack.
You could even make into individual cups if you have the desire. Just use a clear punch cups and layer in the cups. It is an easy way to serve without a clean up.
All you need for this recipe is 4 simple ingredients. A box of vanilla instant pudding mix, 1 sleeve of chocolate graham crackers, 1 bag of marshmallow creme pumpkins and 5-6 drops orange food coloring.
To prepare simply make the pudding according to the package directions, stir in the food coloring to make orange (you can use natural food coloring, available at Whole Foods). Spread the pudding into a glass pie plate. Next crush the graham crackers in a zip loc bag and sprinkle on top of the pudding. Place the candy pumpkins on top to decorate. Keep the dessert refrigerated until ready to serve.
You can make this up to 6 hours before serving for best results. It is best not to make too far in advance or the graham crackers will get soggy.
My children loved the Pumpkin Patch Pie and they even helped make it. Be sure to try this tasty Halloween dessert, you will not be disappointed. You could even make for Thanksgiving as a dessert to go along with the pies! Feel free to add some candy corn too!
