Pulled BBQ Chicken Sandwich
Pulled BBQ Chicken Sandwich is a family favorite for gatherings. I serve with corn on the cob and it’s always a hit! It is so easy to prepare and serve in the crockpot! It is great for tailgating too!
My family loves Barbecue Chicken. I love it too however I don’t like it when it comes off the grill and it is dry or overcooked. That is easy to do when you are cooking chicken breasts. As you know I love to cook in my slow cooker. This is how I created this Crockpot Barbecue Chicken Recipe. It is so easy to make. I love using the crockpot on hot summer days. I know many people think of fall and winter for crockpot cooking but I love it in the summer because it keeps the heat out of my home by using the slow cooker instead of the oven.
With just a few simple ingredients that you most likely have in your pantry you will be able to make this delicious dinner. Add 3-4 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts, 1 bottle BBQ sauce, 1/2 cup white vinegar and 1/2 cup brown sugar into a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours. It is that simple!
This is an easy freezer meal too. Simply combine all of the ingredients into a gallon size freezer bag and freeze. When you are ready to cook take out of the freezer and thaw in the refrigerator overnight. Simply place into the slow cooker and cook on low. It is really that easy. You can continue to cook for longer if you want and the chicken will start to shred. That makes for a moist and delicious pulled chicken sandwich.
I like to serve this with homemade sweet potato fries and green beans. Since you can often find BBQ sauce for around $1.00 in the summer this makes for an inexpensive stockpile recipe that the whole family will enjoy. I like to stockpile on BBQ sauce when I find it on sale. We hope you enjoy this Crockpot Pulled Barbecue Chicken as much as we do! It is sure to be a family favorite!
