Must See Attractions at Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World is one of the best places to take a vacation, and there are so many things to do there. Without planning it is impossible to take them all in during your vacation. That’s why I have created a list of the Must-See Attractions at Walt Disney World that are perfect if you only have a short time in the parks.
My biggest tip to see a lot in a little amount of time is to get a park hopper and to take advantage of your fast passes, extra magic hours and visit during off season to maximize your time. With a little planning you can ride most everything on your wish list!
Must See Attractions at Walt Disney World
Journey to Pandora – The World of Avatar: If you are a fan of the beauty found in the movie Avatar, you will adore this latest addition to the parks. The lines here are long, but it is well worth your wait time. That said, plan ahead for this and understand you will be waiting to ride. It is best to schedule a fast pass when possible. On the day we visited the wait was actually 455 minutes without one.
Splash Mountain: You simply cannot go to Walt Disney World without taking a ride on Splash Mountain. The fun thrill ends in a big splash of water and is ideal for cooling off on a hot summer day. It is one of our favorite attractions!
Carousel of Progress: Head to the Magic Kingdom for a nice break and fun for the whole family. This is a great place to learn some of the Disney history and get out of the heat that plagues Florida summers.
Pirates of the Caribbean: We all love the movies, now go enjoy the ride that it is based upon! These are perfect for fun in a cool environment that the whole family will enjoy. This is always a favorite for our family. My son loves Captain Jack Sparrow!
IllumiNations: Head to Epcot at the end of the day for an amazing laser and fireworks show that everyone will enjoy. It’s a perfect ending for your day and is ideal for creating memories with the younger children who love fireworks and big light displays.
Typhoon Lagoon: Cool off at this great water feature that is ideal for the hottest days when you just want to lounge and relax. Pack your bathing suit, grab a spot in the water, and have fun splashing around with your family.
Big Thunder Mountain: For the classic roller coaster experience, this is ideal! It’s a perfect option for those who want the thrill, but not quite ready for the bigger coasters. Family friendly and an easy ride, it is a favorite.
We have enjoyed so much of our recent experiences at Walt Disney World, Epcot, The Magic Kingdom, and know you will too. We were invited to attend the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration and had the opportunity to visit all four parks during our trip. These must see attractions at Walt Disney World are some of our favorites. There are hundreds of other great things to do in the park, so come back to see what we share next time!
