Check out this amazing Lake Barkley Vacation Home. We are home from a relaxing family vacation to Lake Barkley. If you are in need of a great destination to relax, unwind and unplug than look no further than Main Channel Manor in Cadiz, KY.

We had the most incredible time enjoying nature and all that Lake Life has to offer. Main Channel Manor is a gorgeous 7,500 square foot home conveniently located on Lake Barkley.

Lake Barkley Vacation Home:

Featuring breathtaking views from every room and located in the Kentucky lakes region, this spacious vacation rental home is secluded on the shore of Lake Barkley. It is so conveniently located to Lake Barkley State Resort Park.

It provides an amazing oasis that will be the perfect destination for your family vacation, guys or girlfriends getaway or a multi generation family trip. The beds are so cozy and the house was very clean and stocked with everything we needed and more!

Main Channel Manor is a spacious 7 bedroom 6 bath home with amazing lake views. There is abundant amount of space for the entire family. Even with a large party you won’t feel crowded into limited bedrooms. The home comfortably sleeps 20 guests and has 11 beds.

Not only can you relax and unwind, there are a variety of activities and attractions at nearby Land Between the Lakes and the surrounding lakes. There are fantastic recreational activities, which include swimming, sailing, kayaking, boating and fishing, as well as horseback riding, hiking and golf just to name a few.

We spent one afternoon shopping at the local boutiques and antique shops in Cadiz, KY. I also can’t forget to mention the dining options! We enjoyed dinner at Harper House, Triplets and lunch at the Burger Bard. Of course no trip is complete without a sweet treat from The Pig’s Tail.

You will be able to relax and enjoy your time at this gorgeous home. You definitely will not feel crowded but yet you will be able to enjoy each other’s company in the spacious common areas. I loved that there were so many to choose from.

We enjoyed spending the majority of our time on the main level however there is also a common space downstairs where we enjoyed playing board games and working puzzles.

There is a wide variety of activities within minutes of the house. Whether you want to spend your days on the lake, hiking through Land Between the Lakes or golfing at one of the more than 6 courses in the area.

You may just want to relax on the deck with a good book and watch the ships go by. There is truly something for everyone! When they say Life Is Better at the Lake, it is true. Even my coffee tasted better at the lake.

My husband enjoyed golfing at two local courses. Pictured above is Mineral Mounds Course. He really enjoyed this course. My favorite feature of this home are the gorgeous views. However the easy lake access for fishing and kayaking in the beautiful cove was second on my list.

The well stocked kitchen was one of the best I have ever experienced at a rental home. We were able to prepare meals without having to make shift and that never happens when we travel. The brand new appliances were a huge plus. I was really impressed with the main level of this home because it has been updated with all brand new furniture.

We also enjoyed the gas fire pit which was perfect for s’mores on the back patio. Every night we sat by the fire and extended our time outdoors. It was so easy to use and the teens enjoyed this area to hang out.

The home features a spacious laundry room conveniently located on the main floor. They have new Smart TV’s with a huge library full of DVD’s. It was stocked with games, puzzles, kayaks and even binoculars for viewing wildlife and birds. The owner has literally thought of everything you need and more!

If you are traveling with multiple families there is no need for concern when it comes to parking. We had three cars in our group and had room for several more.

For me it was all about the spacious decks with amazing lake views. I spent the majority of my time enjoying my coffee on the back deck and soaking in the view. You will enjoy the wildlife (deer, eagle, bird watching).  I was able to see deer and a bald eagle from the back deck.

The house is close to Lake Barkley Marina and State Resort Park which is super convenient. The ease of renting a boat is just minutes away from the home. Even though there is not a dock at the house because it is located on a protected cove you could dry dock there during the day which is a nice feature.

This is a great location for a guys golf trip with beautiful courses nearby. It is the perfect destination for a girlfriends getaway with lots of antiquing close by. We thought it would be a great setting for a multigenerational family getaway with the master located on the first floor.

In addition to all of the traditional lake activities we visited Patti’s 1880’s Settlement as well as the Jefferson Davis State Historic Site in Fairview KY. We also visited the Elk and Bison Prairie and the Woodlands Nature Station. Next time we will make plans to visit the Golden Pond Planetarium. 

We plan to return again soon so we can enjoy the house during the summer and check out future updates. I can’t wait to do some boating on Lake Barkley.
