Is the Express Pass at Universal Studios Really Worth It? We went to Universal Studios for Spring Break and had the time of our lives! When going to Universal I think one of the biggest questions you have to consider is whether to get the express pass or not. I have been to Universal Studios twice. Once with an express pass and once without and hands down my favorite is to have the express pass.
So what is the Universal express pass? It is a pass that allows you to skip the regular lines at the most popular attractions. When you add Universal Express access to your theme park admission, you get to skip the regular lines at most of your favorite rides and attractions. So you can fit way more fun into your day. However please not that separate theme park admission required.
Is the Express Pass at Universal Studios Really Worth It?
Now you have two questions? Are you staying on property or not? If you are going to stay on property then my suggestion is to stay at one of the premier hotels because they include FREE Universal Express Unlimited Passes! Those hotels are Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Hard Rock Hotel® and Loews Portofino Bay Hotel. Also, you can compare to the other resorts and adding express passes to see which is financially better for you. Another perk to staying on property is that you can enjoy an extra hour at the parks that is reserved for hotel guests only.
There are two types of Express Passes:
Universal Express Unlimited Pass – The 1-Park Universal Express Unlimited Pass entitles one (1) guest unlimited express ride access at participating rides and attractions within Universal Studios Florida. Express ride access is a separate queue line with a shorter wait time at participating rides and attractions. Subject to availability. Theme park admission is not included. Pass is not valid for separately ticketed events. Ticket is only valid on the date printed on the ticket.
Universal Express Pass – The 1-Park Universal Express Pass entitles one (1) guest one (1) time express ride access at participating rides and attractions within Universal Studios Florida. Express ride access is a separate queue line with a shorter wait time at participating rides and attractions. Subject to availability. Theme park admission is not included. The prices vary depending on the day and they are a limited availability. So on busy summer days or during spring break these come in handy. So in my opinion you can see where getting the Unlimited Express Pass included with your hotel is a great deal!
If you have a teen who likes to ride coasters and popular attractions the express pass is a LIFESAVER! Seriously we waited no more than 30 minutes and that was for Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. With the Express Pass Unlimited you can easily do both parks in 2 days!
My teens rode all of the coasters and favorite attractions several times and spent a 1/2 day doing all things Harry Potter. By having the Express Passes we spent more time riding and less time waiting which made us all happy and we were there during Spring Break.
