How to Freeze Basil Pesto

Check out How to Freeze Basil Pesto! Just recently, I figured out how much I love Basil Pesto.  I have made it homemade several times but I have found I like Kirkland’s brand at Costco just as much.  The problem is it’s in a large container for just me.

I love to have basil pesto on hand for Italian sandwiches and pasta. I have been trying to cut down on sugar and carbs, so I have been using this instead of Spaghetti sauce.  It doesn’t take but a couple of tablespoons to do the trick.

How to Freeze Basil Pesto

I went to the dollar store and bought a pack of ice cube trays.  Using a pastry brush, oil the ice cube trays.  Olive oil is always my go-to! Then fill the ice cube tray with your basil pesto.  I cover each ice cube tray with plastic wrap and place it in the freezer.  When you are ready to use, just pop a basil pesto cube out! It is that simple!
