Check out our Disney Hollywood Studios Sci Fi Diner Review. In our opinion eating at the Sci Fi Diner at Disney World located in Disney Hollywood Studios is a must do on your vacation! It is my top pick for a Disney Dining Choice!
Be advised that you need to reserve in advance because it is so popular and for good reason too, so if you get the chance to eat here it is so worth it! For dining on the Disney dining plan it is one Table Service credit (sit down).
In my opinion it is worth using the credit or spending the money out of pocket! All of my kids loved this dining experience! I must admit that my husband and I did too. This is hands down my favorite place to dine at Hollywood Studios.
Table Service (sit down) is for Lunch and Dinner are unique at the Sci Fi Diner in that guests can make Advanced Dining Reservations for this experience limiting your wait time. The restaurant is set up like and old drive in movie theater and they play old sci fi movie clips while you are eating. My kids loved this.
The tables are set up in old cars. Some accommodate four and others accommodate six. They also have large tables for larger groups and small tables for two. When you make your reservation it will not be clear if you get a car or not, be we were able too and we loved it. When checking in for your seating be sure to request if you want a car. Also, they have fantastic gluten free and dairy free menu choices at Sci-Fi!
The food was delicious and it is a nice place to relax and unwind. It was also our first day at Disney World. My husband and I tried different food options (sharing so we could taste different things) and of course we enjoyed dessert too! We also had a milkshake with our dinner, because everyone said they have the best and boy were they right.
The kids really enjoyed the milkshakes too and overall they wanted to go back before we left but we could not get another reservation. The next time we go to Disney World we will definitely eat here again at Sci Fi Diner in Hollywood Studios.
