Today we are sharing with you a Heart Healthy Baking Tip.  It is a simple exchange and really makes your baked goods moist!  Simply substitute applesauce for your oil in your recipes.  Use an equal substitute when baking.

Heart Healthy Baking Tip - Substitute Applesauce for Oil

This is great way to cut fats from your baked goods and produce a moist baked good!  I always substitute the oil in baking. I keep a jar in my pantry at all times and these individual serving sizes work perfect too!

  1. I do this all the time. Sometimes I keep 1/2 the oil and use 1/2 applesauce. Also if I can, I swap out a little bit of white flour for whole wheat flour.
