Of course when I was back there in October with my husband,  who is a huge Green Bay Packers fan, we had to do the trail to see everything and I am so glad that we did because it was one of my favorite things we did while there.

We started off at the Packers Heritage Trail Plaza which is the centerpiece of the trail and is located at the corner of Washington and Cherry streets in downtown Green Bay.

The Packers Heritage Trail was designed as a self-guided walking tour that weaves two compelling stories. One is about the history of the Green Bay Packers football team and the other is about the people of Green Bay and how their committed devotion to their beloved football team pulled the city through many years of financial struggle and helped it survive.

The story of the heritage trail overall covers the 50 years of the legendary reigns of Curly Lambeau and Vince Lombardi from the time period of 1919 through 1968. And it is presented on 22 commemorative plaques, made of all bronze and located at sites where the blended history of the Packers and their fans during that period actually unfolded. So every stop you make you will see the bronze sign with the historical fact and information on it. You can get a map to help navigate you through out the trail here —>Packers Heritage Trail.

Through the Packers Heritage Trail will see Lambeau’s Birthplace Home and the Birthplace of the Packers.

The attraction my husband loved seeing was City Stadium, which was the Packers’ home field from 1925 through 1956. He loved being able to see it in person as a huge fan.
