Easy Fruit Salad
Easy Fruit Salad is so simple to make and taste delicious! All you need is cut-up fruit, box of vanilla instant pudding, pineapple juice and 30 minutes. Once you toss everything together you have to let it sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to let the juices form. I used a fruit platter from Chick-fil-a that is part of their Chick-fil-a Catering Menu.
When you first mix all the ingredients together it will be gritty, but after 30 minutes in the fridge you will have scrumptious fruit layered in a smooth sauce. I made this for my son’s birthday party and it was a huge hit! This Chick-fil-A Catering fruit platter was also large in quantity. I had over 25 people and there was more than enough for everyone.

I make and eat a lot of fruit salads. I never thought of using pudding in it. I usually use vanilla yogurt or just honey and lemon juice. Thanks for a new idea.
I guess you could use the sugar free pudding, I’m going to try it. Thanks

How much was the fruit tray if I might ask? Thanks for the recipe! Am definitely going to try it soon!
I am not sure – the prices may vary from location to location. It was super easy though!
The box of pudding I have says 1.5oz (42g) serves 6 1/2 cup servings.
I would use a little less than the full package.
The picture shows instant pudding, but the recipe doesn’t say instant. Which is it?
It is instant. I have updated the recipe to reflect. Thanks!
Has anyone ever used cheesecake jello
Can you use frozen fruit?
I think frozen fruit would get mushy on you.
May i ask what size fruit tray is this considered and the round about price? I️ went to the catering dude but I’m a little confused on the sizes. Thanks so much (:
We did the smaller size. 🙂 It is SO yummy!
If you separate the pineapple juice and whisk the pudding mix into it, it will thicken as you mix all the fruits together. Then when you pour the sauce mixture over the fruit, it will not be gritty at all!
Can you substitute pineapple juice? Maybe apple
You sure can! Or orange juice.
So easy and so delicious! I halved the recipe since I only needed a few servings. I also used the comment/suggestion of another and mixed the dry pudding and pineapple juice in a measuring cup before pouring it right over the fruit. It was ready to eat immediately.
I mixed the pudding mix with the pineapple juice and let set while I cut up the fruit salad
Mixed it all together and could eat right away. Delicious!!!!!!
Can I use sugar free pudding mix?
Yes!
