Disney World MagicBands Tips
If you have a trip planned for Walt Disney World here is some Disney Word MagicBands Tips to help you! My family and I went for our first ever Disney trip this past June. We had a really great time and I think it helped because I did a lot and I mean A LOT of research on everything before going. I had created a board on Pinterest and was pinning helpful information to it. Everything from where to dine, bus information to magic band information.

If you have not been to Disney in awhile then you may not know about MagicBands. They are small bands are made of flexible plastic embedded with an RFID chip and fit around guest wrists. They are adjustable to fit children or adults. You can do everything from unlock your resort door, charge purchases, meals and do fast passes. They do it all with magic!
First thing is that these MagicBands are only currently at Disney World.
MagicBands are free for resort guests or annual pass holders. When booking your trip through Disney you will be able to customize the color and names on the bands for you and your guests. They will be mailed yo you about 2 weeks prior to your arrival or you can select to pick them up at check in at your resort. If you are not staying at a Disney resort you can still get a MagicBand to use starting at a base rate of $12.95 on DisneyStore.com.
The MagicBand works as your ticket into the park. Just tap it on the mickey head and when it lights up green you go in. No more worries of losing tickets!
Your fast pass selections are also loaded on to the band. When staying on resort you are able to have 3 fast passes loaded on to your band 60 days in advance.
You can unlock your resort door! How neat is it to not have to carry another key! Any member in the party can use their MagicBand to unlock the door.
MagicBands are waterproof! Yes waterproof so there is no need during your entire stay to take them off. You can enjoy swimming, showering and sleeping in them.
You can purchase items throughout the parks using your band. Not having to carry cash, credit cards or a wallet while enjoying Disney. You can set up at check in who is allowed to make purchases with their bands. We left our children off and created a pin to use for these purchases.
MagicBands also link your Memory Maker. Photo pass photographers take your picture then scan your band. Within minutes your photos are sent to your Disney account.
No worry if you lose one! Guest services at any park or resort can activate you a new one and deactivate the one lost. Of course it will not be customized, but no worries!
