Crockpot Pear Apple and Pork Dinner

Crockpot Pear, Apple and Pork Dinner is a great healthy dinner! It is also an easy freezer meal too!

Crockpot Pear Apple and Pork Dinner is a great clean-eating dinner. This recipe is simple and easy and can also be made for a freezer meal. On the day that you want to enjoy it, all you have to do is put it in the slow cooker and let it do it’s thing.  You can substitute the brown sugar for honey to make this a Paleo Recipe.  I also like to substitute with agave or maple syrup.

I was very shocked when my boys even loved this meal! However, they did push the onions to the side but they ate up the pork, apples and pears which pleased this momma! I served this great tasting crockpot pork meal with baked potatoes but I think it would be delicious with rice too.

  1. All the crockpot freezer meals are great, thanks! I prepared this one and stuck it in the freezer and plan to put it in the crockpot to eat for the first time tomorrow. I’m wondering about the 2 1/2 cups of water that I’m supposed to add. That seems like it will make it really watery. Does it thicken up as it cooks?

  2. Haven’t seen a recipe like this before, but I like pork and apples together. Looking forward to trying it.

  3. Would the meal turn out ok if I put it in the crock pot half frozen on low for extra time? Would you even suggest this?

  4. 5 stars
Prepped and froze this along with some other meals before our baby was born so we’d have some dinner options when we were too overwhelmed to plan dinner. We had it tonight- I think I cooked it a little long because my apples dissolved into the sauce, but I served it with risotto, and both of us really liked it. (My husband loved the sauce!)
This is a great easy, healthy dinner and is definitely going into regular rotation! Thanks!

        1. Made this tonight with chicken instead of pork (also substituted chicken broth for the apple juice) and it turned out great. One more question though… When you save the leftovers, do you save it in the juice?

  5. The recipe calls for 2 pears but the shopping list for 8 freezer meals calls for 3 pears and this is the only meal that uses the pears- so should I use 2 or 3 pears?
