It’s a great beverage to warm you up on a cold winter day. After shoveling snow out of our driveway the other day I was so happy to come in to the house to this creamy drink. It warmed me right up and I love vanilla so it hit my taste buds. My hubby even loved having a cup. The best part is you only need 4 ingredients, which you may have in your kitchen right now.
To prepare combine the sugar and hot water in large saucepan. Stir, and bring to gentle boil over medium heat. Transfer mixture to crockpot, and add milk and vanilla. Stir, then cook on high for 2 hours {or low for 4 hours}, or until hot. Pour into mugs, then top with whip cream and ground cinnamon if desired. This is the perfect recipe to serve for a brunch or breakfast. It is great on a cold winter day and is perfect for those who are avoiding soy because this recipe is soy free.
