Crockpot Chicken A La King
Crockpot Chicken A La King is an easy freezer recipe the whole family will love! I love this easy recipe because it is a great way to get my family to eat their veggies! This is a true dump and go slow cooker recipe. Your guests will never believe how simple it is to make because it tastes so good! I like to serve this delicious dinner on a bed of rice.
It is so simple to prepare. In a 3-qt. slow cooker, combine soup, pepper and cayenne pepper until smooth. Stir in chicken, celery, peas, carrots, and onion. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours. When it is ready simply serve with rice. It is that easy!
If you are serving a large crowd you can easily double this recipe. Another way to stretch the family budget is by decreasing the chicken or using dark meat. Trust me, nobody will realize you did. This recipe is also delicious the next day heated up for leftovers. I like to serve this with bread sticks or biscuits.
If you want to prepare this as a freezer meal simply combine all of your ingredients into a gallon size freezer bag. Freeze. When ready to cook simply thaw in the refrigerator overnight. Place contents of the bag into the slow cooker and cook on low for 4-6 hours. (I find this one is ready around the 5 hour mark). I love that this is a complete meal that can be prepared easily in the slow cooker. There is no need for additional sides because your veggies are already in the recipe. You can also use microwave rice to save time.
I hope your family enjoys this Crockpot Chicken A La King as much as my family does. It is sure to be a family favorite!
