Slow Cooker Bean Chili
Slow Cooker Bean Chili recipe is perfect for a cold evening. We have been having dreary days with freezing temps here in Kentucky and this comfort meal was just what my family needed. I was able to throw everything in the slow cooker and let it cook all day while I was at work. You can easily pick up ground beef when you find it on managers special and cook and freeze to save time and money later. To learn more about freezer cooking click here–>Freezer Cooking 101.
This is a simple dump and go recipe. All you need is 2 cans of red beans, 2 cans of great Northern beans, 2 cans of kidney beans, 2 packets of chili mix, 1 lb of ground beef and 1/2 cup water. It is so so simple to make. Add all the ingredients to slow cooker and mix. Place lid on top and cook on low 6-8 hours. Stir and enjoy!
I like to serve beans to my family at least once a week. Another great way to save money from the budget! I like to serve this yummy soup with homemade corn bread or a nice crusty French loaf. You can also serve with crackers or as is. I like a spoon of sour cream on top.
I hope you enjoy this Slow Cooker Bean Chili as much as I did! It is the perfect comfort food on a cold winter day. This recipe is perfect for game day or tailgating.
