Cherrybrook Kitchen Gluten Free Cake Mix & Frosting
My friend Stephanie came over for dinner and surprised me with a Gluten Free Dessert. It is not often that I eat Gluten Free dessert so when I do I always get excited. Especially it is a surprise 🙂 She made a Cherrybrook Kitchen Gluten Free Dreams Chocolate Cake Mix. The cake mix is peanut free, dairy free, egg free and nut free. It of course is also Wheat Free and Gluten Free.
She said it was easy to make. All you needed was 1/2 cup of oil, 1 cup of cold water, 2 tsp vanilla and the chocolate cake mix. She added a Cherrybrook Kitchen Vanilla Frosting which was ready to spread. It too is peanut free, dairy free, egg free and nut free. It of course is also Wheat Free and Gluten Free. Now, I would consider it more a glaze – it was not a traditional whipped frosting. She said it was a little hard to apply to the cake. She just spooned it on and tilted the container until the cake was covered. She did use it at room temperature and stirred it before using as the package suggested.
I found the dessert very tasty. The frosting was a little sticky and definitely more of a glaze but it was good and I enjoyed it 🙂 I did share with my husband and he enjoyed it too!
Disclosure :: This is not a sponsored post – the cake and frosting was purchased by my friend Stephanie. All opinions are 100% my own.
