Bhuja Fruit and Nut Mix: Gluten Free Review
Bhuja Fruit and Nut Mix is described as “a delicious sweet and savoury blend of exotic snack nibbles with dates, apricot, paw paw, sultanas, peas and peanuts.” It is gluten-free, has no added MSG, has a low glycemic index, and is a good source of protein and fiber. According to their website, Bhuja is a traditional snack mix made by Indian farmers. In addition to the Fruit and Nut Mix flavor, they have the following additional flavor choices: Original mix, Cracker mix, Nut mix, Spicy Peas, Seasoned Cashews, Seasoned Peanuts, and Seasoned Almonds.
I enjoyed the mix of sweet and spicy, crunchy and soft in this Fruit and Nut Mix. The “heat” of the spiciness is nicely balanced with the fruity flavors. One drawback was that the peanuts used in this mix have their skins on them, which in a bag of them, gets in your teeth a bit. It would have been nicer to have the peanuts without the skins. On the plus side, I like that the sweetness is from unsweetened natural fruits. This is a wholesome snack for the whole family!
Bhuja snack mixes are available for purchase at many natural food stores, the natural food sections of large grocery stores, on Amazon and more.
