Bananas Foster French Toast is one of my favorite breakfast recipes. I am a huge banana lover and this delicious, sweet French toast is no exception.

I pile the French toast with heaping spoons full of the banana mixture, also known as bananas foster. With the sweetness of the bananas I have no desire to put syrup on it, but of course if you want syrup you can add it too.

Next time bananas are on sale be sure to pick some extra up and try this Bananas Foster French Toast! I used this recipe for the French toast —>Cinnamon French Toast.  If you have some overripe bananas this is a great recipe to use them.

This would be a delicious recipe to serve for a brunch or weekend breakfast treat.  It is easy to make and is even perfect for any day of the week.  A little dusted powered sugar over the top will make it look like something you would order at an expensive brunch. Ingredients

  • 2-4 pieces of french toast prepared
  • 1 whole banana sliced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp butter

Instructions

  • Arrange prepared french toast on plate.
  • In a small skillet combine butter, cinnamon, brown sugar and bananas.
  • Turn heat to medium-high and stir bananas frequently.
  • Let cook about 3-4 minutes then remove from heat.
  • Spoon onto french toast.
  • Serve and enjoy!
