I wanted to share with you my top 10 List of Reasons to Stockpile! This is a great way to save money from your family’s budget.

I have always been a HUGE fan of the Late Show with Dave Letterman.  After watching his show recently, I thought it would be fun to share with you my Top 10 List of Reasons to Stockpile…

10. Because you never have to pay full price for your gas again.

9.   You can never have enough (free) Lysol products from Meijer half-price sale!

8.   With the hundreds of dollars you save a month you can make a car payment, buy season passes to the zoo, afford extra’s for your children or afford a date night!

7.   You have enough FREE personal hygiene products for a everyone in your neighborhood…. shampoo, Johnson’s Buddy Bars, shaving creme, razors and more!

6.   You are always prepared to whip up a recipe when unexpected company comes over for dinner.

5.   You always have the ingredients on hand when your hubby comes home and says…”I forgot to tell you we are having a food day tomorrow at work”

4.   When there is a prediction for snow you don’t have make a run for the grocery store…you just eat from your stockpile.

3.   You are always prepared in case of a job loss, natural disaster or epidemic!

2.   You never have to pay retail for your groceries, and you never run out of an ingredient.

  1. I really, really need to get myself organized and get into the stockpiling! My family is small, just my son and myself, but we are on a limited income and this would definitely help me to afford the "extras", like sports and museum passes, etc, for my son. How do you guys store your extras? I know you are organized with storage!

  3. Knowing the sale cycles helps build a great stock pile. Getting items at the lowest possible price will save you alot of money in the long run. It can take a bite out of the budget at first but will save once you have a good stock pile. Look at the sales for the week pick one item to buy extra of that sale item. Example from this weeks sale items. Lunch meat was way cheap bologana was on sale I purchased 10 of them because it was only a $1 and normally it can run $2.25. Instead of buying one item when it’s on sale buy several.
