2018 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration

When we received the invitation via email to attend the 2018 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration we were excited! We have been blogging for almost 9 years and to receive this “coveted” invite was something that until you receive it you can’t understand. First, I am going to be very honest with you and say, if “Disney ever invites you to this blogger event, drop everything and go”. I have been to literally hundreds of press trips and brand events and this by far was the BEST blogging event that I have EVER attended in my blogging career.
Why? Disney gets it. They value bloggers and they understand that this is our job. They invited our families to attend. That meant no mom guilt for me. Also, my family had the opportunity to see me “in action” and we were treated like literal ROCK STARS. The pixie dust and magic that we experienced was far greater than my wildest imagination. So, when I said earlier if Disney invites you to attend a Disney Social Media Moms Celebration, drop everything, I really mean it.
There was a registration fee to attend this event however it is minimal, and the investment is well worth it. Included in the registration was 3 nights at the Coronado Springs Resort, 5-day park hopper pass, 3-night Disney cruise, transfers and conference sessions. In addition, some meals during the Walt Disney portion were included. On top of that they showered us literally with MAGIC during the celebration!
Many meals at Walt Disney World were included (not all) and we got some amazing swag. However, that wasn’t the highlight of the trip. The highlight for me was experiencing this VIP blogger event with my husband and son. They are truly the ones who make sacrifices for me. My husband handles the finances and bookkeeping for our blog, he helps with photo shoots, he run errands to purchase ingredients and he is extremely supportive.
My son has literally grown up with this life. He was only 3 when we started blogging. He is involved in many photo shoots, goes shopping with me for blog posts, helps me with ideas and is a huge cheerleader to me. They have “stayed at home” for many of my trips and being able to take them on this trip to Disney Social Media Moms Celebration was one of the best experiences of my blogging career.
Disney provided us with so much magic that I couldn’t even begin to list it all. We had “extra” fast passes (that you didn’t have to schedule). We experienced a VIP experience at Animal Kingdom where we experienced Pandora – The World of Avatar before the park was open! We rode Avatar Flight of Passage with NO WAIT and enjoyed a private breakfast in the park during sunrise! We had countless character opportunities that were amazing and a VIP fireworks experience just to name a few. I can’t mention all the special perks that Disney offered us because there were THAT many! In addition, they provided a stellar day of learning at both Walt Disney World and on the Disney Dream.
After our amazing three-day experience at Walt Disney World we then boarded the Disney Dream and enjoyed a 3-night cruise! We ported in the Bahama’s and Disney’s Private Island Castaway Cay. We have taken dozens of cruises in our lifetime and this Disney Cruise was the single BEST cruise we have EVER taken. We were literally blown away by the quality of food, service and attention to detail. This had nothing to do with the blogger event. This was the standard of excellence that everyone received. On the ship we did enjoy special swag, an exclusive blogger sail away party and blogger conference sessions.
While at Disney Social Media Moms Celebration my husband told me that he was so proud of me and I think after 9 years in this business he finally “gets what I do”. My teenage son really didn’t want to go on the trip because he didn’t want to “miss school” which I totally appreciate however one day in he told me how happy he was that he came and by the end of the trip he said, “it was the best trip of his life”. In fact, he keeps asking if we will get invited to back again. Well, I am not sure about that, but I sure hope so!
In closing, if you get the chance to attend a Disney Social Media Moms Celebration invitation only event, don’t pass it up! It is the single best blogging event that I have ever been too!

Wow, it’s so awesome that you got to attend this event! I have been a Disney lover my whole life for just the reasons you explain. They are a more expensive vacation but it’s crazy value for money when you see how much work they put into making every little detail of your trip perfect.
You weren’t kidding when you said it was the best blogging event ever! I can’tbelieve what opportunities can come of blogging. It is just out of this world!
How absolutely exciting to be invited to a celebration by Disney, especially one celebrating mommy bloggers! It looks like you guys had a great time, and there’s no surprise there… they really know how to entertain. I would have loved the VIP treatment, too. Really glad you got to enjoy. 🙂
I would love to experience a Disney cruise one year. My daughter has been asking to go. We’re hoping to go next year. I have a lot of friends that go to Social Media Moms and they love it!

I was invited in 2015 and was blown away by the event. I remember sitting in the welcome session in shock that I was actually there and all of the amazing content they were sharing with us! It was a once in a lifetime event that I hope will come true again for me one day! I would love the opportunity to bring my family on the Disney cruise ship too!
